Pete Fry is a Strathcona based community advocate and a former Green Party candidate for Vancouver City Council and the 2016 provincial byelection in Vancouver - Mount Pleasant.
Pete Fry has lived in Vancouver since immigrating to Canada as a child in the early 1970s and works as a creative and strategic communications consultant.
A longtime community resident and advocate, Fry was former head of the Strathcona Residents Association and helped organize community responses to viaduct traffic, loss of affordable housing and heritage retention, as well as representing the neighbourhood on the city's DTES Local Area Planning Process.
"Heaven help us all if government does nothing and this real estate bubble pops because of off-shore factors... This inaction would make for a real made-in-B.C. recession, the effects of which the entire economy would be feeling for years."
