Sex is good. Good sex is great. And great sex... well that's the dream right? While I can't promise that the next guy you bring home will be a God in sack, I can all but guarantee that sweating it out at the gym will help turn up the heat in the bedroom. Now that's what I call an effective incentive!

We all know that exercise is essential for living a healthy life, so I'll spare you the boring lecture on reducing risk of heart disease and increasing longevity. Instead let's talk about sex! Sex is good. Good sex is great. And great sex... well that's the dream right? While I can't promise that the next guy you bring home will be a God in sack, I can all but guarantee that sweating it out at the gym will help turn up the heat in the bedroom. Now that's what I call an effective incentive! Here's how getting sweaty will help you get dirty...

Self Confidence is Sexy

Ever notice that no matter how terrible you feel about your body before you get to the gym, once that sweat session starts the self-loathing stops? Don't even get me started on our useless need to nitpick our imperfections, but the point is, once we start working it out we feel better about ourselves. We feel accomplished. We feel powerful. We feel unstoppable. We feel SEXY! Countless studies have been done to show the strong connection between hitting the gym and feeling hot. In fact it's been proven that the more often we exercise, the higher our feelings of sexual desirability. This means an uninhibited, unrestrained, self-assured and self-confident you, between the sheets! The one that flips on the lights and worries LESS about how many extra pounds he's noticing and worries MORE about how many extra orgasms you're going to have!

Happiness Makes Us Horny

Have you ever tried doin' the deed when you're in a bad mood? Yahhh, I didn't think so... Don't worry, me either! When we're feeling down, the chances of us stripping down are pretty much non-existent. For better or worse, women's sex drive is almost completely determined by our emotions, and our emotions are affected by, yup, you guessed it, exercise! Intense sweat sessions boost our happy chemicals (endorphins), reduce stress hormones (cortisol) and give us an all around euphoric feeling also known as "runner's high." The odds of giving the cold shoulder to your hot man after an exercise induced explosion of endorphins? Unlikely.

Increased Blood Flow... Everywhere

Exercise gets our hearts pumping and the blood flowing all over the body, and increased blood flow to our lady bits means more intense orgasms! (Insert pom-pom emoticon here!) That's right, post workout our bodies are more primed and ready for sexual arousal. In other words getting turned on happens quicker and feels more intense after we've hit the gym.

(Good) Dudes Dig It

I'm always skeptical of a man that is turned off by sweat. Inevitably it's likely linked to their own personal lack of self-esteem or subconscious feelings of misogyny. ("Chicks are meant to be submissive, weak little kittens who just want to be rescued, right?!") Losers aside, for the most part guys dig girls who get their sweat on, on the regular. For one, as we've already discussed, working out makes us feel good about ourselves, and there's nothing sexier than a confident woman. It also means we take care of ourselves, inside and out, which is never a bad thing. But most importantly, sweat and muscles remind us of our basic primal instincts. It takes us back to a simpler time when life was less about kale chips and Candy Crush and more about hunting and procreating. So go forth, pump some iron, dig up those loincloths, crawl into your cave and exercise those animalistic urges!
