Deep brown and irresistible, bacon plus caramelized brown sugar makes a tasty snack with drinks, or cut in small pieces and scatter over ice cream. Seriously. Try it, and watch it all disappear!

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Lay strips of bacon on a parchment-paper lined, rimmed cookie sheet.

Spread brown sugar over strips, but be generous, about 2 tsp (10 ml) brown sugar per strip.

Bake for 10 minutes, then flip bacon (mushing it around in the melted sugar) with tongs.

Return to the oven for five to 10 minutes more. Check frequently; when the bacon is well-done and the sugar is deep brown, remove from oven. Immediately transfer bacon to a wire rack to cool.
