The New York Times on Wednesday published a controversial op-ed from an anonymous “senior official” in President Donald Trump’s White House. The editorial claimed there were people inside the administration ― including the author ― who were “working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.” The article also said there were “early whispers” in the Cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
But for some readers, one of the most eyebrow-raising parts of the story was its headline: “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration.” That led to people announcing their own membership in many different forms of resistance:
