Baby Oil

Home Beauty Remedies

Baby Oil

Moisturizer -- After a shower, rub baby oil all over your skin to seal in moisture and keep your skin soft all day.

Eye makeup remover -- Pour a little on a piece of cotton and gently wipe away stubborn mascara and eye makeup.

Exfoliant -- Pour some on a cotton swab to remove dead brown skin that builds up on your neck and in your belly button.

Temporary tattoo removal -- Gently removes the ink from airbrush tattoos.

Witch Hazel

Toner -- If you are prone to oily skin and breakouts, mix a little witch hazel with some green tea and use it to clean off excess dirt and oil before bed.

Itching -- You can also use witch hazel for irritation due to bug bites, dry skin, and even burns.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is great for oily skin as well as irritated skin. You can make a paste by mixing oatmeal, olive oil and water. Apply the mixture as a facial mask. The oatmeal absorbs excess oil and calms the skin. You can also add this mixture to a bath for itching.

Baking Soda

If your teeth are looking a little yellow, mix some baking soda with your toothpaste to whiten and brighten your teeth.

Sugar

Sugar is wonderful to exfoliate your skin. Simply mix a cup of white or brown sugar with some olive oil and gently scrub your skin with it to remove dead skin and help soothe dryness.

Vegetable Shortening

For chapped lips, rub some vegetable shortening on your lips to soothe the burning and protect your lips from the wind.

Cucumbers

Take two slices of cold cucumbers and put them on your eyes to reduce puffiness due to lack of sleep.

Baby Aspirin

For blemishes, crush a baby aspirin and mix it with some saline to make a paste. Dab it on your pimple before bed and it will be dried up by morning.

Vitamin E Oil

Eye Gel -- Pat some vitamin E oil around your eyes before bed to diminish fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes.

Healing -- To help soothe and heal a wound, apply some vitamin E oil to the affected area.

Chapped Lips -- Apply Vitamin E oil to chapped lips to moisturize and soften.

Epsom Salts

Mix epsom salts with a favourite essential oil to make a muscle soak for tired muscles.
