Quebec Shooting: 3 Wounded In Laurentians Region

3 Wounded In Quebec Shooting

Three people have been shot at a house in Quebec's Laurentians region.

One person was seriously wounded with life-threatening injuries to the head, and is being treated at Sacré-Coeur Hospital in Montréal.

The other two appeared to suffer less serious injuries, despite both being struck with bullets in the chest.

Provincial police say an emergency call was placed just after 11 o'clock this morning.

They say they can't explain what caused the shooting in the town of Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson, just north of Montréal. But they add that victims, aged 35 and 38, are known to police.

A large perimeter has been erected around the crime scene.
