A 24-hour day never seems to be enough.
And according to a recent survey conducted for LG Electronics Canada by Angus Reid, if Canadians had two extra hours in a day, they know exactly how they'd spend it -- with their families.
“With our many responsibilities, our lives are very busy and it can be difficult finding time to do everything we need and want to do,” said Frank Lee, senior manager, corporate marketing, LG Electronics Canada in a press release.
So what are we doing if we're not spending time with the most important people in our lives? The study showed that at least 39 per cent of Canadians do at least four loads of laundry per week, while 42 per cent of us can spend over an hour planning and shopping for groceries.
But household chores aren't the only things robbing us of free time. At least 80 per cent of Americans spend an extra day per week working overtime, and most North Americans spend at least 8 hours a month on Facebook, according to Mashable.com.
The study also showed that men and women differed when it came to using those extra hours. At least 41 per cent of Canadian men would spend those extra two hours being intimate with their partners, while 54 per cent of women would rather catch up on reading.

When it comes to getting intimate with their partners, only 27 per cent of women would do this with their free time, compared to 41 per cent of men.

Curling up and reading a book is one way to spend your free time and at least 54 per cent of Canadian women would. Men? Only 27 per cent of men would grab a book if they had an extra two hours in a day.
Watching Movies
Grab that popcorn and drink, at least 30 per cent of Canadian men would fit in a movie during a 26-hour day, compared to 26 per cent of women.
