Christopher Pammenter Dead In Surrey Shooting

A 46-year-old man was shot dead in his own driveway in what police are calling a targeted, gang-related attack.

Surrey RCMP were called to the Fraser Heights neighbourhood for reports of shots fired just before midnight Thursday.

Emergency crews found Christopher Pammenter suffering from gunshot wounds but were unable to revive him, said Sgt. Jennifer Pound of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

"It appears as though the victim was shot in his vehicle in the driveway of his residence," Pound said in a news release on Friday. She added that Pammenter is known to police.

Investigators will continue to process the scene and canvas the area on Friday.
