Liberal-CAQ Coalition: Close Quebec Election Sparks Tweets On Partnership

A CAQ and Liberal coalition in Quebec? That's one of the talking points unfolding on social media as election watchers digested the results that gave Pauline Marois and her Parti Quebecois a win Tuesday -- at least a minority government.

Still, with the PQ with less than the 63 seats needed for a majority, people were asking whether the Liberals and the CAQ could come up with a coalition. At 9:13 p.m. ET, Jean Charest's governing Liberals were leading or elected in 47 seats while the CAQ had 17 seats, enough seats to put 64 seats together.

Which prompted a lot of responses. Of course, that could be moot by the end of the night if the PQ secures the needed seats for a majority.
