Underwater fishing from James Keller on Vimeo.
If you've wondered what a crab trap looks like underwater, wonder no more. Vancouver videographer and journalist James Keller put a waterproof camera in a crab trap and dumped it into the waters off North Vancouver.
The video shows the trap being launched off the side of the boat and falling gracefully to the ocean bottom where bait waits for a crab to scuttle over and get caught inside.

The bait manages to attract some fish and a starfish before it's hauled back up to the boat.
Unfortunately, no crustaceans were caught, but it's interesting to learn about the first step of making crab cakes and California rolls.
