Const. Adrian Oliver, the RCMP officer killed in a crash this week, will be mourned in a regimental funeral next Tuesday at a church in Surrey, B.C.
The 28-year-old's funeral will be held Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. PT. Hundreds of law enforcement officers, as well as family and friends are expected to attend from across North America.
Oliver died Tuesday after his unmarked police car was struck by a semi at a Newton intersection. The incident is under investigation.
Oliver, who joined the Mounties in 2008, has a twin brother who is also an RCMP officer in the Lower Mainland. Their stepfather, Chief Supt. Joe Oliver, is currently the force's director-general of border integrity based in Ottawa.
A candlelight vigil has also been set for Nov. 30 outside the Surrey RCMP detachment from 6-9 p.m. PT.
Condolences have been pouring in from across Canada on Facebook and RCMP websites.
