Kathleen Wynne Style Evolution: A Look At The New Premier Of Ontario's Love Of Suits (PHOTOS)

Kathleen Wynne, Ontario's New Premier, Sure Loves Her Suits
CP

Kathleen Wynne has officially become Ontario's premier-designate. And what better way to celebrate Canada's first openly gay premier and Ontario's first female leader than by taking a look at her style?

At 59, it's clear Wynne goes after what she wants. Taking an active role in politics in 1994, when she first ran for the gig of school trustee in Richmond Hill, she rose through the ranks of the Ontario's legislature to become a parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities and then, later, she became Ontario's Minister of Education.

Throughout all of this, she's exuded confidence, power and stability. And much of that has had to do with her wardrobe. You see, Ms. Wynne has a penchant for the power suit. Much like other female politicians around the world (ahem, Hillary Clinton) she's built a wardrobe around a fashion statement that not only looks good when tailored appropriately, it screams stability (every woman should own at least one of these wear-anywhere ensembles).

And though her signature style is based around a closet staple, Wynne's appearance is far from boring. What Queen Elizabeth II does with colour and pattern to make a skirt suit pop, Wynne does to the power suit.

Check out the many (kind-of-the-same) fashion statements Wynne has made over the years.
