It looks like Pauline Marois has given up her castle for a condo.

The Quebec Premier and her husband, Claude Blanchet, are buying a $2.5 million apartment at the swanky St. Regis in Old Montreal, according to the Montreal Gazette. The deal for the property was completed on Thursday, and Blanchet is the official buyer, QMI reported.

The condo was previously owned by Maxime Rémillard, co-president and CEO of Remstar, which owns the French-language television network V.

The sale of Marois’ previous home on Île Bizard, a 12,000-sq.-ft. manor with seven bedrooms known as La Closerie, made headlines last year. In 2012, Marois and Blanchet accepted an offer from a European real estate tycoon, Patrice Rochemont, but the sale was held up because of a Quebec law preventing the sale of agricultural land to foreigners, according to the National Post.

The mansion had been up for grabs since 2009, after Marois’ children moved out. Sotheby's has marked the house as ‘recently purchased.’
