Aishwarya Rai has been acing the Cannes 2013 red carpet so far but her appearance at Thursday's amfAR event showed us that the Bollywood star is still on top of her style game.
The gorgeous 39-year-old outshone the other amfAR guests in a stunning golden sari which featured heavy embroidery and a high collared blouse. (Aishwarya kind of reminds us a bit of an Oscar statue. In a good way!)
Rai's long raven locks were piled high on her head in a braided bun which revealed delicate gold earrings and her flawless face which has barely aged a day since she won the Miss World pageant in 1994. No wonder she's called the "Most Beautiful Woman in the World"!
To complement her dazzling sari, the hot mama wore a hint of golden-orange eyeshadow and peach lips. Not that she needs makeup; Ash's skin is perfect!
But Aishwarya hasn't always had an easy time at Cannes. At the 2012 film fest, the then-new mom (Rai gave birth to her first child, daughter Aaradhya, in March 2012) was criticized for being unable to shed her baby weight. Crazy, right?
We're glad that Mrs. Bachchan returned to face her critics this year; Ash fired up the Cannes 2013 red carpet in a regal satin gown, a beaded Elie Saab and a full-length embroidered dress.
No other actress has had as many Cannes hits as Rai (except maybe Sharon Stone.)
