She may be going to the slammer for tax evasion but Lauryn Hill will be able to celebrate her birthday as a free woman.
The "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" singer, who turns 38 on May 26, has always been admired for her free spirit, eclectic style and at times, larger than life hair but don’t even think about trying to duplicate her neo cool look. (The former Fugees frontwoman reportedly didn't appreciate the Lauryn Hill clones that were spotted copying her style at the height of her fame.) It seems that imitation isn’t the highest form of flattery for Ms. Hill!
Although the mother-of-six has stepped out looking like the love child of Macy Gray and The Joker (see her outfit at a 2007 performance in Brooklyn, NY) and her occasional erratic behaviour sometimes concerns us, it's easy to forgive the soul sister when she sings her hits.
