Vancouver police are investigating a collision involving a transit bus after a woman was killed after apparently falling under it on Hastings Street.
Police got several 9-1-1 calls at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday after a woman was struck by a bus. Police arrived at Hastings and Main and declared the woman dead at the scene, the Vancouver Police Department said in a news release.

The woman fell under the bus as it pulled away from a bus stop, police say, and neither the driver nor any passengers knew what happened until later. The driver stopped the bus as soon as he found out about the incident.
Police have not identified the victim, but they are talking to witnesses and gathering video evidence to find out precisely what happened.
