Receiver General, Senate Can't Confirm Duffy's $90,172 Repayment, But Sen. Comeau Says He Saw Copy Of Cheque 'It Was Good'

Neither the Receiver General for Canada nor the Senate can publicly confirm that Senator Mike Duffy repaid $90,172.24 in ineligible housing expense claims, as was originally stated in an April 19 press release issued by the Senate's Internal Economy Committee.

The Hill Times recently contacted the Office of the Receiver General to confirm that it had received a payment of $90,172.24 from Sen. Duffy in April, but the office referred questions regarding the payment to Senate Administration.
