Looks like Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is one step closer to the royal baby — or to the hospital at least.

The Nottingham cottage, on the grounds of Kensington Palace in London, is equipped with two bedrooms and is right across town from the hospital.

Meanwhile, Prince William is miles away on a search-and-rescue shift with the Royal Air Force and is even scheduled to play polo at a charity event in Gloucestershire on Sunday, a day after Kate's expected due date, according to the Daily Mail.

If worse comes to worse and Will isn't able to make it right away (even though the Duke has a helicopter on standby,) the Duchess does have support from her immediate family.

“There is always another family member with Kate. Kate does not want to have to go to the hospital on her own,” a source told US Weekly.

Kate is set to give birth in the post-natal room in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital. We also know that Kate's suite will probably feel a little more close to home: the room also includes a three course meal including lamb chops or Mediterranean grilled chicken and desserts like cakes, fruit and cheeses.
