Halloween Costume Ideas 2013: How To Dress Like Our Favourite Stylish Celebrities (PHOTOS)

Stylish Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween 2013 isn't too far off and there are plenty of options for what or who your next costume will be.

We've previously suggested dressing up as popular people in the pop culture universe such as Tilda Swinton, Katniss Everdeen from "The Hunger Games", the cast of "Girls" and the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton but we couldn't leave out our favourite stylish celebrities who more than deserve to have their own Halloween costumes this year.

Take Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai, a former Miss World who has wowed us with her mix of traditional saris and dazzling couture or Wayne Gretzky's daughter, Paulina Gretzky, who has entertained us with her many bikini pics on Instagram.

Regardless of who your flavour is, we've got you covered if you're tired of dressing like a cheerleader or a witch.

Halloween Costume Ideas 2013

If you don't mind being a tiny bit cold on Halloween, throw on a bikini, some shades, a blond wig and a smug smile to perfect the California beach babe's signature look. For bonus points, carry around your phone and take lots of Instagram selfies. Monkey is optional.

She may be the Most Beautiful Woman in the World but it's surprisingly easy to get Ash's look for Halloween 2013. There are many options to copy the Bollywood star: Try checking out Value Village, eBay or your local vintage shop for a sparkly sari or ballgown if you want to channel her triumphant Cannes 2013 style. To get her beauty look, get our your pencil liner to achieve a kohl-lined look around the eyes and add lots of mascara. Then, add a nude or mocha tint to the lips and finish off with a trip to the salon to blow-dry your hair for maximum volume and curl the ends to get the actress' signature wavy finish.

3. Nathan Fillion

Since his Emmys 2013 appearance, we've had a bit of a crush on the "Castle" star (and it doesn't help that we're obsessed with "Firefly). To achieve his classic red carpet look, get yourself a tux and bow-tie, add a bit of hair gel to your mane, pop in some blue contact lenses and stand around with a handsome grin on your face. If people don't know who you are, just tell them you're the captain of the Serenity.

4. Blake Lively

Ever since she starred as the stylish heiress Serena Van Der Woodsen in "Gossip Girl," Blake Lively has been on our style radar. But it's her incredible red carpet style that really impresses. If you want to dress up as the fashionable Mrs. Ryan Reynolds, you have to wear something form-fitting, cleavage and leg-baring and ideally sparkly or with tulle. Accessorize with a killer pair of heels and a cute clutch and you're golden. Don't forget to tell everyone that you don't use a stylist.

5. Carey Mulligan

Not only does the Brit star in stylish movies (see "The Great Gatsby") but the ethereal actress is a pro when it comes to red carpet dressing. Although she's recently grown out her hair and returned it to its original brunette shade, we loved her previous short blond pixie 'do. To get Carey's look, get yourself a Mia Farrow-style wig in light blond, suit up in a feminine tuxedo (for reference, see the Victoria Beckham tux Carey wore) and wear minimal makeup in nude shades. To get that extra London cool vibe, put on a pair of your wackiest shades.

6. Zooey Deschanel

It's all about the bangs (or no bangs) when it comes to dressing as the "New Girl" star. This one's easy: Get a voluminous brunette wig (with big bangs, natch) and throw on a '50s inspired A-line frock with a cute print. (For reference, see this, this and this.)

7. Harper Beckham

She has a better wardrobe than North West, has melted Anna Wintour's heart and her parents are the most stylish couple in the world. Sure, she's just a toddler but you can easily achieve the cute tot's look by digging through your closet for a sparkly headband with a bow, Doc Marten boots, coloured jeans, a print-top (preferably from Stella McCartney) and a pout. Now if only you could bring David and Victoria Beckham along with you.

8. Kate Upton

We would suggest printing out a lifesize photo of Kate's famous Sports Illustrated cover, cutting out a hole and putting your face in it, but where's the fun in that? Dressing up as the Vogue covergirl requires you to pull a Paulina Gretzky and shed those clothes in favour of a skimpy white bikini underneath a warm fur-lined coat.

Love her or hate her, you have to admit that the Goop-maker has serious style chops (remember that incredible sheer gown she wore to the "Iron Man 3" premiere?) This Halloween, instead of replicating her famous pink Oscars dress, channel your inner casual Gwyneth by sporting slim trousers, a sleek white blazer, a pair of killer pumps and a chic blouse, Goop styles.

The "Scandal" actress was named People magazine's best dressed woman of 2013 and it's not hard to see why. To achieve Kerry's flawless red carpet style, you're going to want to get outside your comfort zone with lots of bright colours, patterns, prints, textures and shapes. Kerry doesn't have a so-called "signature" style because she switches up her look at every event. That's why we love her.
