This Is Why Cyclists And Drivers Hate Each Other (VIDEO)

WATCH: This Is Why Drivers And Cyclists Hate Each Other

This Toronto confrontation feels more than a little unnecessary.

It does, however, explain why so many drivers and cyclists just hate each other. And why more than 100,000 people have watched the video on LiveLeak under the clever headline "Some People Simply Need More Sex!"

Technically speaking, the excessively pedantic cyclist in this video is in the right. Check out sections 147 AND 148 (YOU COULD HAVE BEEN MORE PEDANTIC) of Ontario's Highway Traffic Act for all the mind-numbing details. The cyclist is set to make a left turn, so is actually within his rights to move into the centre of the right side of the road.

That said, nothing bad actually happened here, but that didn't stop the cyclist from stopping to preach to the driver.

The driver's reaction, however, perfectly sums up why so many cyclists in Toronto, and around the world, are fed up.

"My car is way bigger than yours."

No kidding.

Essentially, both sides of the battle feel they own the road and neither can wait to proclaim their righteousness.

The solution? More bike lanes would help. You listening Mayor Ford?
