Nathan Fillion is known for many things: A former captain of a Firefly ship, an avid Twitter user and his general handsomeness, among other things. But one of the many qualities we enjoy about the "Castle" star is his great hair.

That wasn't always the case.

These days, the Canadian actor sports a sexy short 'do but back in Olden Times (which we classify as any time period before 2005), the 42-year-old had a serious case of bad hair.

How do we know this? Well, thanks to "Star Trek: The Next Generation" alumnus Will Wheaton, we were able to glimpse into Fillion's kinda-scary fashion past.

"The Big Bang Theory" star tweeted a hilarious photo collage of Nathan sporting long, shaggy locks with an off-set part and a sleeveless plaid button-up paired with baggy jeans. (We can't unsee this!)

This comic relief came after Fillion tweeted his apparent displeasure over fans sharing "ugly" photos of the Edmonton-born actor.

Hilarious!

Nathan, if you're reading this, we're sorry we published the bad hair photos but they were just too good to pass up. Plus, your girlfriend Christina Ochoa doesn't seem to mind!

To make it up for you and your fans, let's take a look at all the other times you didn't have bad hair (which is basically all the time):
