Piano Teacher Arrested On Sex Charges

A 65-year-old piano teacher who held lessons in his home has been arrested after allegations of sexual assault.

Yung Ping David Chen is facing charges of sexual interference and sexual assault, said Vancouver police in a news release on Tuesday. Chen was arrested in December and has been released from custody with conditions including no contact with anyone under the age of 18.

A publication ban is in place to protect the victims' identities, so police cannot release many details.

Chen gave private piano lessons in the basement of his Vancouver home for more than 30 years, said police. Investigators are concerned there may be other victims. They are asking former students or pupils' parents to contact them.
