Meth Lab Suspect Wears 'Los Pollos Hermanos' Shirt In Mugshot

LOOK: Meth Lab Busted, Suspect Wears Bizarrely Perfect Shirt

In a case of life imitating art, a U.S. Sherriff’s office busted a home meth lab Monday and arrested a man wearing a t-shirt inspired by hit TV series “Breaking Bad.”

Daniel Kowalski was arrested in his Chicago suburb home after officers acted on a tip that the 21-year-old was allegedly cooking meth, according to Cook County Sherriff Thomas J. Dart.

But what got people’s attention was the suspect’s “Los Pollos Hermanos” t-shirt.

Yes, it is the same “Los Pollos Hermanos” that served as a fictional front for drug kingpin Gustavo Fring on the popular AMC show. You can't make this stuff up.

“Hopefully the attention on D. Kowalski’s ironic outfit will shine a light on the seriousness of meth,” Dart tweeted on Wednesday.

According to a news release, officers found burners, glass beakers, chemicals, and instructions inside. The lab was not active at the time.

Kowalski faces a series of felony charges including two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials, and possession of methamphetamine precursors.

This isn’t Kowalski’s first run-in with the law. In July 2013, he was placed on electronic monitoring after police suspected he was operating a meth lab.

Kowalski made an appearance in court Wednesday morning.
