Baby Animals Signal Spring In Alberta

LOOK: Spring Means Baby Wildlife!

Spring may be slow to launch in Alberta, but there's no shortage of proud mother animals parading their youngsters about the province's national parks.

Waterton Lakes National Park recently shared several photos of mama bears, cougars and deer with their young, and they are oh-so adorable.

Using remote cameras, parks biologists monitor animal populations and keep an eye on human and wildlife activity.

Specially-designed digital cameras are placed at strategic locations in the park, and animals and humans take their own pictures by triggering infrared sensors that detect motion.
