Michael Buble may have cut his teeth years ago as a performer, but he actually knocked one out during his current Australian tour after a concert mishap Friday night, May 16, in Sydney, Australia.

According to Pollstar, the singer was early into his concert at Allphones Arena when he apparently knocked out a tooth with his microphone. The singer was performing "Haven't Met You Yet" when the incident took place. A YouTube clip of the song in question shows Buble soldiering on as if nothing happened so it's unclear where in the song he hit the tooth.

Buble tweeted this after the gig:

"Thankfully no one knew, but I knocked my tooth out with my microphone last night during the second song!!" Buble wrote. "Don't worry, I'm at the dentist getting fixed up for my final show tonight in #Sydney #australia #mbworldtour #tourlife"

Buble -- who didn't emulate NHL players by spitting the tooth out during the song -- wrapped up his four-night stand in Sydney the following evening. Fans who heard of the mishap however gave Buble kudos for not stopping the gig.

Oddly enough, Buble performed with the muppet Elmo for his "Michael Buble Home For The Holidays" television special in 2012. The song was of course "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth."

According to his official site Buble has two shows in New Zealand this week before launching his Canadian tour with a two-night stand at Vancouver's Rogers Arena. An extensive European tour is slated for the fall in support of his 2013 album "To Be Loved."
