Lady Gaga's actor boyfriend may play a firefighter on TV, but the pop star took time to meet some real firefighters in Toronto.

The Toronto Sun reports the pop singer, in town for a show July 9 at Air Canada Centre as part of her artRave: The Artpop Ball, stopped in at Toronto Fire Station 312 in Yorkville Sunday and posed with firefighters. The photos were later posted to her Instagram account with one caption reading: "Hung out with the Toronto Firemen today, their Firehouse was beautiful! Great guys!"

A second photo shot in black and white showed the singer behind the steering wheel facing the camera with the caption: "TORONTO Firehouse. Jumpin' Trucks."

The Toronto Professional Fire Fighters Association acknowledged Lady Gaga's visit with their firefighters in a tweet on Monday night:

CITY-TV reported the singer arrived at the station around 8 am with her entourage. Besides the photos, the singer also reportedly learned how to drive one of the engines.

"She was interested in the fire house and came up," firefighter Josh Chisholm told the outlet. "She met the guys and got on the truck and took pictures and posed with us for a while. She was really sweet, really nice."

Firefighter Robert Langille added she was "very personable" and "took time to let some of us get photos, some of us that have young kids and nieces and nephews."

Gaga's connection to fire stations might be in part to her actor boyfriend Taylor Kinney who plays a firefighter in the NBC series "Chicago Fire."

"He's not the real hero," Gaga reportedly joked with the firefighters, stating they were the real heroes.
