If you're interested in doing yoga but have never been to a class, you may be hesitant to shell out your hard-earned cash for something you're just not sure about. That, or you may be intimidated by the pictures on your Instagram showing your co-worker perfectly balanced in a headstand.

Either way, it's time to get over your fears and start rolling out the yoga mat. Toronto yoga enthusiast Kim Elliot has put together a list of all the places you can do yoga for free in the city this summer, and it is extensive. Not to mention, very welcoming to beginners.

"Even if you find yourself at a tougher class, just remember to stick to your own level of challenge," advises Elliot. "The whole point of yoga is to challenge yourself and not get caught up with the person beside you who is bent into a pretzel."

Yoga's benefits are myriad, including increased creativity, as well as feeling more connected to your body.

Considering the dozens of yoga studios in Toronto, it's more than worthwhile to give it a shot. And if doing yoga in a park isn't for you, think about something like the Passport to Prana, which allows you a visit to 70 Toronto yoga studios for just $30.

Here are 13 places in Toronto you can do yoga (weather permitting) for no money at all or a small donation this summer:
