Disney Paints A Perfect Tribute To Robin Williams On Twitter

Disney's Robin Williams Tribute Sums Up The Actor Perfectly

To Evan Rachel Wood, Robin Williams was a friend.

To Zelda, Cody and Zachary, Williams was their father.

But for everyone else who didn't know the late actor intimately, Williams was the a psychiatrist on the big screen, an alien on your TV set and for a generation of children, the voice behind Disney's iconic Genie in "Aladdin".

Disney shared their tribute to Williams on Twitter, a drawing of the magical, blue-coloured character created out of stars in the Arabian night sky, created by Eric Goldberg, the supervising animator for the movie.

A message from Disney CEO Robert Iger also accompanied the drawing.

“We’re deeply saddened by the loss of Robin Williams, a wonderfully gifted man who touched our hearts and never failed to make us laugh.

An incredible actor and a comedic genius, Robin will always be remembered for bringing some of the world’s favorite characters to life, from his zany alien on ABC’s Mork & Mindy to the irascible genie in Disney’s Aladdin.

He was a true Disney Legend, a beloved member of our family, and he will be sorely missed. We join Robin’s friends and fans everywhere in mourning, and offer our thoughts and condolences to his family during this difficult time.”

On Tuesday, Marin County’s assistant chief deputy coroner announced Williams' cause of death was by self asphyxiation. A toxicology report is set to come in the following weeks.
