Katy Perry Super Bowl Halftime Show: 'Roar' Singer Scheduled To Perform (REPORT)

Meet Your Super Bowl Halftime Singer (Probably)

Get ready to hear her "Roar," and prepare to see some "Firework(s)."

Katy Perry will perform at the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show, according to a new report in Billboard magazine.

The 29-year-old singer — who treats every day like it's her "Birthday" — was reportedly on the NFL's shortlist for the prime gig back in August, alongside Coldplay and Rihanna. However, after nearly two months of speculation, controversy arose over the league's alleged request for payment from their headliners in exchange for the coveted role.

Over the weekend, Perry made a surprise appearance on ESPN's College GameDay football program, and addressed the Super Bowl speculation head on.

"I'm not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl," said Perry.

Neither the "Dark Horse" singer nor the NFL has yet to confirm this announcement.

Last year's championship halftime show that featured performances from Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers broke viewership records with 111.5 million viewers in the U.S., and another eight million in Canada.

Super Bowl XLIX will kick off on Feb. 1, 2015 in Glendale, Arizona.
