Making an impact on the world can sometimes feel like an uphill battle, and if anyone knows about uphill battles, it's Spencer West. The double leg amputee from Toronto made headlines when he and his team scaled Mount Kilimanjaro, the world's highest free-standing mountain in 2012 to raise awareness and funds for clean water to Kenyan communities.

These days, West is focusing on the cause he's most passionate about to help knock down the barriers of systematic poverty. West shared his thoughts as part of the AOL Conversation Starters series while in Toronto for We Day 2014. Watch the video above to find out more.
