BlackBerry's share of the smartphone market is now miniscule, but at least one mega-celebrity still swears by their devices.
Kim Kardashian said Monday at the Recode's Code Mobile conference she loves her BlackBerry Bold phone.
“A BlackBerry, it’s my heart and soul. I love it. I’ll never get rid of it,” she said, according to Bloomberg.
The reality TV star said she uses her iPhone for photos, but still swears by "that board" to type an email quickly.
The Bold phones aren't sold in stores anymore, so Kardashian said she buys several on eBay in case one breaks. She loves the Waterloo-based company's devices so much that she'd like to buy it, or at least stop it from going out of business, CNET reported.
Kardashian spoke at the conference because her mobile phone game, "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood", remains one of the top-five grossing apps in the Apple App Store, according to Business Insider.
ReCode's Kara Swisher said it made sense to have her there because of how well she and her family have used social media to connect with their fans.
Kardashian has more than 24 million followers on Twitter and 20 million on Instagram.
She is "the rare celebrity who manages to use it effectively as a marketing and branding tool, as well as a way to stay visible and relevant," Swisher said. "Her mobile feeds, however riveting or inane you find them, are lively and engaging."
