If you've been wracking your brain trying to come up with a great way to propose, this couple could serve as your inspiration.
When one woman, Jackie, contacted Bioware Montreal, a video game company that produces the "Mass Effect" franchise, to ask if they could possibly help with her proposal to her partner, Amy, she probably had no idea just how extensive it would get.
As detailed on the company's blog, studio manager Marie-Renée Brisebois took the idea and ran with it, enlisting the help of developers around the office to create a whole level dedicated to helping this couple get engaged.
“I love being married. It’s my favorite thing about my life, and it’s a huge amount of what I enjoy about living, but being a video game designer doesn’t often give me the opportunity to help someone else have a marriage,” said lead designer Colin Campbell in the blog. "As soon as I saw the opportunity, I jumped right on it.”
The level was designed to give some clues about the couple's relationship. Safety nets were also coded incorporated so Amy wouldn't die before the end of the level.
The company then invited the couple to their Montreal headquarters, claiming they'd won "A Day With Our Devs," and invited Amy to try out a new "Mass Effect" game, supposedly in order to get feedback from average players.
But Amy wasn't expecting this:
"Once she reached the end of the level, Amy walked into a room with a lone console in the center that had her and Jackie’s names for one another spray-painted on the wall in 50-foot high graffiti. When she clicked on the console, a message popped up: 'Dear Amy, Jackie would like to ask you something.

All of us at BioWare'"
According to the company, Amy turned to Jackie at that point, who was down on her knee with a ring. Jackie said yes, and we can now only hope they're planning an amazing video-gamed themed wedding.
