Alison Pill has exciting news to share, barely three weeks after "The Newsroom" wrapped its final season.
The 29-year-old actress — who played Maggie Jordan on the HBO dramedy — announced her engagement to fellow actor Joshua Leonard on Instagram, Saturday night. The newly-engaged pair each posted an engagement ring selfie from the aptly-named Joshua Tree National Park in southeastern California, with nearly identical captions that read, "Let's do this, 2015!!!!"
Pill's "The Newsroom" co-star Olivia Munn was quick to express her joy about the couple's announcement, writing, "OMG!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!" on the picture, followed by a series of emojis that included a diamond ring.
The happy couple has been dating since at least Sept. 2013, and made recent public appearances at the Golden Globes, the AFI Life Achievement Award for Jane Fonda, and at the premieres of Pill's projects, including "Snowpiercer." Leonard, who rose to fame in 1999's "The Blair Witch Project" will next appear in the Duplass brothers' HBO relationship comedy, "Togetherness."
But, this isn't the first proclamation of love for the two. The Toronto-born Pill recently published a photo of her and Leonard decorating her family's Christmas tree in her hometown. Just over a month earlier, he called her the "love of [his] life" on her birthday.
The Tony-nominated star was previously engaged to her "Goon" co-star Jay Baruchel, but the couple ended their engagement in Feb. 2013. This will mark the first marriage for both Leonard and Pill, who will next star in the comedy "Zoom" opposite Gael Garcia Bernal and Jason Priestley.
Congratulations!
