The massacre of 12 people at the Paris satirical weekly, Charlie Hebdo, has been called the "darkest day in the history of the French press," shaking fellow journalists around the world.

Australian cartoonist David Pope of the Canberra Times, tweeted this moving drawing in the hours after the attack — proving once again that an image can be worth a thousand words.
