We're not going to sugarcoat it, baking can be hard. If you don't know what you're doing it's really easy to get things really wrong. Like, I-don't-even-want-to-eat-that wrong. Cakes cave in unexpectedly, brownies don't rise (because you maybe forgot the eggs) and pie crusts crumble all too frequently. For those of us who don't have a Martha Stewart bone in our bodies, baking blows.

If this sounds like you, we have a fantastic solution: go buy a slow cooker. If you already have one, start using it for baking. We all know that slow cookers are masters of chili, stews and even nachos, but they bake too. Yes, cakes, brownies, bread pudding and even crumbles can be made in a slow cooker. It's so easy. We didn't even tell you the best part yet: you can still use your oven as a bonus storage space.

Life doesn't get much better than this, folks.
