For most brides, narrowing down the invitation list is hard work, but for Alyssa Pearce, she knew who wouldn't be on it: Mom and Dad.
The Australian woman, 23, severed contact with her parents after a falling out at 16. So when they asked to be invited to her 2014 wedding, she wanted no part of it.

In a series of Reddit posts, Pearce wrote about the non-invite and its reaction, which have since gone viral.
