Rihanna Is Dior's First Black Campaign Star

She'll be the first black woman to become the face of this major designer.

Rihanna: fashion trailblazer.

The "Umbrella" chaunteuse is set to star in the fourth instalment of Christian Dior's "Secret Garden" campaign, the label told Women's Wear Daily.

In doing so, she'll become the first black woman to be the face of a Dior campaign, People.com reported.

"Secret Garden" is a Versailles-shot print and film campaign. Rihanna's instalment has been shot by New York-based photographer Steven Klein, and it's set to come out in the spring, said Vogue UK. (Check out a sneak peek of her photo shoot on Lainey Gossip.)

As a face of Dior, Rihanna will follow in the footsteps of actresses Marion Cotillard, Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman.

Previous "Secret Garden" videos have generated millions of hits on YouTube; the latest, "Secret Garden III - Versailles," drew almost 10 million views since being posted in May 2014.

Other models who have featured in "Secret Garden" include Xiao Wen Ju, Melissa Stasiuk and Daria Strokous.

It's not the first time RiRi has had an association with Dior. In 2014, she was spotted at the Dior Cruise 2014 show in Brooklyn and at the French luxury label's Fall/Winter 2014/2015 show in Paris.

Here are some photos of her appearance at the show, and in Dior designs:
