Secrets We Learned From Canada's Museums

Secrets We've Learned From Canada's Museums

Did you know that Canada's Royal Saskatchewan Museum has one of the largest T. Rex skeletons in the world or that the ROM once had a cat who helped keep mice away from the museum's collections?

This week, 130 of Canada's museums will be taking part in #MuseumWeek, an online initiative to highlight the amazing things these institutions do on a daily basis.

Each day, museums and galleries from coast to coast will be sharing their secrets, taking us deep into their archives and showing us things that might not be included in your audio guide.

The museums (including some of the greatest around the world) are starting the week by sharing some of their favourite secrets using the tag #SecretsMW. Here are some of the ones we loved.

Museum Week runs until Mar. 29. Check your local gallery or museum for special programming.
