UPDATE:Jeremy Clarkson's contract with the BBC has not been renewed.
It's been a rough ride in the past month for former "Top Gear" host Jeremy Clarkson, and now it looks like his journey with the BBC is coming to an end for good.
According to the U.K.'s Telegraph, Clarkson is set to be officially fired from his hosting job on "Top Gear." Clarkson was originally suspended after a "fracas" with a BBC producer.
Apparently the BBC decided to fire Clarkson after an internal investigation found he attacked the producer after verbally abusing him for 20 minutes.
The Telegraph doesn't cite any particular source, but goes on to say that BBC director-general Tony Hall will announce Clarkson's firing soon.
Clarkson was already on his last warning from the BBC after drawing fire over a string of inflammatory remarks.
Most damaging have been accusations of using the N-word in leaked footage, something the presenter has denied. He was also accused of making a racially offensive comment about an Asian man.
In BBC Worldwide's 2013-2014 financial report, "Top Gear" was listed as one of its most important shows, both in the U.K. and internationally.
Clarkson fans recently drove a tank to BBC headquarters in London to present a petition to reinstate the host after it garnered one million signatures.
