Scientists have discovered a new species of frog, and they look a lot like our favourite Muppet.
In the Buzz60 video above, we get a closer look at the new frog that has internet audiences amazed. Brian Kubicki, founder of the Costa Rican Amphibian Research Center, says his team has found six of these frogs, Time reports.
Researchers have named the species Hyalinobatrachium Dianae but with that vibrant green skin and those bulging white eyes, Jim Henson fans might be tempted to call him Kermit instead.
Unlike the famous Muppet, the new frogs have a completely translucent underbelly so you can actually see all their organs through their skin. The bright green amphibian was found in Costa Rica and is believed to be a type of glass frog.
