Aid organizations around the world are mobilizing to respond to the tragedy. Here's how you can help.

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated Nepal on Saturday, causing an avalanche on Mount Everest and killing more than 1,000 people.

The earthquake was the worst to hit Nepal in over 80 years, and the death toll is expected to rise. At least 18 bodies have been found on Mount Everest, Reuters reported.

The Canadian Red Cross is accepting donations or contact them at 1-800-418-1111.

Unicef Canada is accepting donations on their website.

CARE Canada is accepting donations via phone at 1-800-267-5232 or online donations
