The home of Subway spokesman Jared Fogle was raided Tuesday in connection to a child pornography investigation.
FBI and state agents arrived at Fogle’s Zionsville, Ind. home at 6:30 a.m., according to NBC affiliate WTHR. Camera crews were outside the home as the raid unfolded.
UPDATE: Subway confirmed to HuffPost the company and Fogle "have mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation." A statement said Fogle intends to cooperate with authorities and "expects no actions to be forthcoming."
An evidence truck was seen parked outside and was later loaded with electronics gathered from inside the home.
Fogle’s wife and children were also inside at the time, and were escorted out after agents arrived on scene.
Fox 59 reports FBI and Indiana state agents were executing search warrants served in relation to the arrest of Fogle’s former colleague Russell Taylor in April. The exact motive of the raid remains unclear.
FBI special agent Wendy Osboune told The Associated Press the federal agency was conducting an investigation in the Zionsville area, but did not confirm if Fogle was involved.
Taylor, the former executive director of The Jared Foundation, was charged with seven counts of child porn production and one count of child porn possession.
Fogle, who launched the charity to raise awareness about childhood obesity through healthy eating and activity programs, has insisted all ties to Taylor have been cut since his arrest.
The longtime Subway pitchman rose to fame after he claimed to have shed 245 pounds after living on a diet that mostly consisted of Subway sandwiches.
