If you've been keeping up with your Bollywood fashion news lately, you know every fellow Bollywood lover (and their moms) have been talking about Mira Rajput's bridal outfits from this past week.
While little is known about this recent bride, she reportedly got engaged to Bollywood superstar Shahid Kapoor last January, Time of India notes. The couple had a private wedding ceremony on July 7, Bollywood Life reports, with a tiny guest list of 40 close family and friends.
And like any South Asian wedding, this wedding also included several bridal outfits. For the actual wedding ceremony, Rajput wore a stunning custom designed light pink lengha (an outfit made up of a long skirt and a blouse) detailed with silver and gold gems, made by Anamika Khanna. In fact, the designer made all four of Rajput's outfits for her big day.
For makeup, Rajput went pretty minimal with dark liner and a pink lip by makeup artist Mallika Bhat. For her hair, one of the most beautiful parts of this look, the bride worked with Alpa Khimani, who added flowers and a stunning antique headpiece.
"The wedding outfit is truly special. In softer shades of pink, derived from old European historical references, it is delicate and elegant, at the same time powerful with its presence. It's a purely traditional outfit, except for the colour play," designer Khanna told India Today.
Other outfits, including looks from her reception and mehendi (henna party), were subtle with hues of yellow, pink, white and gold. Rajput's henna party outfit, which included a two-piece yellow and pink lengha, was also worn at the new bride's sangeet (a party thrown before the wedding day). And while most of the attention was on the bride, we have to say Kapoor's outfits were equally stylish.
