Colouring Books Are Beating Out Novels On The Bestseller List

Don't be afraid to go over the lines!

If you haven't jumped on the adult colouring bandwagon yet, it's time to sharpen your pencil crayons.

As the Associated Press reported on Wednesday, colouring books for grown-ups took as many as eight of the top 20 spots on Amazon's best-selling books list this week, and the number will likely only grow as more people discover this new hobby.

Some of our favourite colouring books we've found so far include those focusing on mid-century furniture, tattoos, and straight up messages of inspiration.

While we don't think colouring should overtake reading anytime soon, it is a pretty appealing way to spend a summer afternoon — and a bonus, you even get a homemade work of art at the end.
