(Relaxnews) - Christian Louboutin is launching a line of lipsticks this fall that will bring his iconic red hue to women’s lips.
After debuting a line of nail polishes last year, the luxury shoe maker is branching out to lipsticks, reports Footwear News.
The flagship colour will be “The Rouge Louboutin” lipstick, packaged in a crown-like black case with gold and silver accents.
The collection will include 35 additional colours in three different textures -- Silky Satin, Velvet Matte and Sheer Voile -- all inspired by Louboutin handbags and shoes. Each lippie will come packaged in a gold case.
"When a woman carries a handbag, we look at her shoulders. When she slips on a pair of heels, we observe her walk. If she applies lacquer to her nails, we admire her hands,” Louboutin explained in a release. “With its slow circular application, lip make up becomes a rich and sensual gesture. Whether accentuating or mattifying the lips, this little object has the ability to transform the entire face.”
