In case you thought otherwise, we can now safely say Carine Roitfeld loves Kate Upton.
Not only did the editor-in-chief enlist the 23-year-old model to star on the cover of the first-ever CR Fashion Book, she's also tapping Kate for the first edition of CR Men's Book.
"Kate has always been everything I love," Carine said. "She is the opposite of me -- a Marilyn of today. For my new CR Men's Book, she represents different types of beauty and the sexual fantasies of all men. Enjoy!"
The Sebastian Faena-shot spread features the blond beauty channeling rocker Patti Smith in a modern-day, pin-up style shoot. She wears A Carine Gilson slip dress and a Gucci shirt with an army green shirt tied around her waist. Kate's hair is left down in a wet look and her makeup is kept simple, save for a bit of eye shadow and bold brows.
And the love between Roitfeld and Upton is mutual -- the Sports Illustrated stunner previously told the New York Post that Carine was "the first editor who put me on the cover actually wearing clothing."
