Lightning Bolt Hits Delta Plane, Guy Filming Video Unfazed

A man filming a storm video for his wife was oblivious that he had caught one heck of a lightning strike on his cell phone.

Jack Perkins was filming a storm video for his wife when he captured one heck of a lightning strike on his cell phone.

A short video uploaded to YouTube Tuesday shows a long line of planes waiting for takeoff at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Sheets of rain can be seen moving sideways down the runway.

Panning across the tarmac, the camera rests on a Delta plane when a flash of lightning hits near its tail, disappearing as fast as it came down.

Perkins wasn’t even aware of the incredible lightning strike footage he had until he reviewed the clip later, according to FoxCT.

Here it is again:

Boom.
