In a recent Ask Reddit thread, people were asked, "what's the strangest thing you do with your significant other that you wouldn't tell your friends?"
This prompted a massive number of responses, which more than anything, showed the amazing number of ways in which people express their love.
Yes, there were plenty of sexual kinks and perhaps more detail than you necessarily want about other people's lives (in which case, Reddit isn't the place for you), but on the whole, there was a sweetness to these responses that demonstrated trust and emotion better than most advice columns ever could.
And of course, as one Redditor pointed out, there was a difference between people who just got together and those who are in it for the long haul:
"You can tell how long these people have been in their relationships by how hyper-sexual vs. flat out weird the weird traits are. Oh, sex all the time in your friends' houses? Yeah, that's a new relationship. Pick the stray hairs off his back and play with them? Those people are getting fucking married."
