Harry Potter's Son Going To Hogwarts Makes Us All Feel Old

He's growing up so fast.

September marks back to school for kids, and that includes Harry Potter’s son, James Sirius Potter. On Tuesday, J.K. Rowling reminded fans of the fantasy series that September 1 was James’ first day at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

James is the oldest son of Potter and his wife, Ginny Weasley. The couple are also parents to two other kids: Albus Severus and Lily Luna Potter.

In the epilogue of the final “Harry Potter” film, Potter is seen sending his second son Albus off to Hogwarts in the year 2017. That means September 1, 2015 is James’ first day, as he is two years older than his brother.

Rowling also delighted fans by tweeting the results of the school’s annual Sorting Hat ceremony. Unsurprisingly, James is following in his parents’ footsteps.

Rowling’s update has left fans ecstatic, but emotional.

But one Twitter user summed up our feelings exactly.
