Michael Moore has made no secret of his affection for Canada.
He loves our health care system, our voting process, our relatively low crime rate, compared to the United States.
The filmmaker showed his generous spirit at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Thursday, when he handed out 40 free tickets to the world premiere of his new film, "Where To Invade Next."
In a Facebook post, Moore offered tickets to 40 people who showed up at the TIFF Bell Lightbox at 6 p.m.
He also promoted the offer on Twitter, where he couldn't resist taking a jab at a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.
Moore's new film is a call to the United States government to stop invading foreign countries ... and let him do the work for them.
"What if the U.S. could do a better job at invading?" his film asks, according to a TIFF summary.
It's his first film since 2009's "Capitalism: A Love Story," which looked at the influence of corporations on Americans' lives.
Moore also attended TIFF last year, for an anniversary screening of his film "Roger and Me."
He certainly loves this country ... even if he mixes up his Canada facts from time to time.
